About Buzzing Bees Preschool
Philosophy
Our philosophy is simply based on the knowledge that all children learn best through hands-on experiences in their environment. We believe in stimulating all five senses at an early age. Our Project-Based Approach to teaching and learning supports the interests and strengths of each child. We use our projects as a hook to teach literacy, math, science, art and social studies in a small inclusive group which encourages a non-competitive, cooperative and supportive learning environment. We provide the children with a diverse range of great children literature, which inspires learning. With teachers acting as guides and facilitators, students spend their time in hand-on activities and discussion.
Therefore, our mission is to…
*Respond to the needs and interests of children.
*Include every child
*Design challenging activities and promote the development of social and personal skills, maintain high expectations, and teach the skills needed for success.
*Integrate art, literacy, math, science, and social studies into a well designed curriculum.
*Maintain an encouraging, cooperative, supportive but structured environment that emphasizes participation and collaboration rather than competition.
*Promote love for learning to students, as well as families and communities.
*Involve children in planning and running the projects, and serve as a resource to their peers and their community.
