Program Description
Preschool Educational Enrichment Program - Newborn - 5 years old
Our busy, little bees have tummy time, crawl around, wiggle and giggle, move to the music, do arts and crafts and make a messy messy mess. They are immersed in all the subject areas using 'hand-on' activities. They become little scientists as they learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. They will make a caterpillar out of clay that will soon become a beautiful butterfly. They become little carpenters as they build a birdhouse, and little explorers as they journey around the world and learn about how children, like them, live around the globe. They help make the planet greener by turning an old milk carton into a personal piggy bank. They will discover the artist within them as they create their own masterpieces using various art and household materials. Children have a great time playing while learning about math, science, social studies and literacy. Each child has her/his own portfolio, which document what was learned and how it was learned.
School Age Educational Enrichment program - 6 - 8 years old
Our FlyingBees have the opportunity to think critically, problem solve, and create original works of art, writing pieces, science and social studies projects, all inspired by their favorite books. They develop their skills, learning techniques and expand their knowledge of the world around them. They will discover the joy of learning math, science, literacy, and social studies in a fun environment.
PLAY2LEARN Summer Workshop – (eight weeks)
Play2Learn in the summer is themed based and children are fully immersed in the theme to guarantee a wonderful time.

It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
1 - A facilitator comes with a ‘Play2Learn Box’, which has everything needed to facilitate the class.
2 - The children read, write, discuss, imagine, create, while having a wonderful time.
3 - The Children leave inspired and the facilitator leaves the space as it was.
1-2-3 DONE!
By hosting Play2Learn, you will help children in your community and children in Haiti as
well.
Play2Learn classes are provided in schools, community centers, churches and other convenient locations.
It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

TutorME
TutorME uses “hand-on” activities as a hook to provide differentiated, one on one and small group instruction and support to help students keep progressing towards meeting the NYS Learning Standards in language arts, math, science and social studies. The TutorME program is very unique in the sense that it is purely based on the assessment of the children being tutored. TutorME curricula are created after formal and informal assessment of the children have been collected and analyzed. TutorME takes Academic Intervention to the next level.
Why Assessment Before TutorME
Imagine taking your family to the hospital and the doctor prescribes antibiotics to all of you and sends you home without determining why you are feeling ill. You and your daughter may need antibiotics, but a week or two of penicillin won’t help your husband who is complaining of chest pain or your son with his broken ankle. Improving your health or a student’s learning requires examination – Unless we assess our students first, we cannot be sure that the curriculum we plan match their needs.
We at TutorME, believe that assessment is an integral component of the educational process. If properly designed, administered, and analyzed, assessment can provide important information to guide and inform instruction. By using valid quantitative and qualitative data, we can ensure that appropriate decisions are made about how to best tutor and support each student. The more we know about each student, the more specific our instruction becomes. That specificity, in turn, helps each student learn more. At TutorME, we make sure that assessment and instruction focus on what we want our students to know and be able to do at the end of the TutorME session.

-One on one and small group
-Each student has an Individual Educational Plan.
-Students ECLASS, DRA scores, teachers’ feedback and Play2Learn's assessment will help determine the program’s curriculum.
-Weekly assessments such as running records, reading comprehension, skills and strategies, etc.
