HANDS ON EDUCATIONAL CLASSES

Play2Learn offers classes for newborn through eight years old. Our busy, little bees have tummy time, crawl around, wiggle and giggle, move to the music, do arts and crafts and make a messy, messy mess. They are immersed in all the subject areas. In each of our preschool and school age classes, children read, write, imagine, discuss, explore, design, sculpt, sketch, draw, paint, and create, all in a fun atmosphere designed for children of all abilities. Our classes are small in size, which helps the Facilitator to work with each child, demonstrate, answer questions, and encourage personal growth. We provide the children with a risk free environment to explore, be creative, learn and have fun.

Buzzing NewBees	0-5 months	NewBees Workshops address the special needs of newborns and their parents. These special classes are designed to help mommy talk about her joys and frustrations and get/give advice on mothering. Buzzing BabyBees	6-14 months	Classes will indulge you child’s natural curiosity and offer creative ways to practice emerging skills through fun-filled exploration, songs, movement activities, parachute play and more. ....................................................... Buzzing ToddlerBees	15-24 months	Classes will use arts and crafts, toys and activities to learn cause and effect, coordination, balance and motor skill development. Playful movement stories, puppetry, music/movement and songs enrich emerging language.
Buzzing RunningBees	2-3 years	Classes challenge a child growing body and inquisitive mind. Fun, creative and messy, your little ones will surely have a great time. They will use their little fingers to experiment with sculpting, painting, gluing, tracing, printing, and creating. They will be encouraged to explore, make a mess, have fun, and create their masterpieces. Activities also focus on language skills and social interaction. So join in on the mess. Buzzing JumpingBees	3-5 years	Classes will immerse children in all the subject areas using hands-on activities. Painting wooden letters, measuring each others’ heights, and making a collage of shapes are some of the fun activities we will do in this fun, creative, and “I can do it’ class. Little ones will listen to stories, retell stories and learn about letters, numbers, shapes, colors, sizes, and more. Each exciting activity builds listening skills and coordination while emphasizing cooperative play and encouraging new friendships. Buzzing Flying Bees		Enrichment Classes

That's Me!	6-7	This class is all about the children. They will create self-portraits, make wood puzzles oftheir favorite pets, create personal scrapbooks, and even sculpt miniature versions of themselves. They will read about boys and girls like them and will be inspired to write about themselves. You’ll be amazed at what they’ll bring home.
Old is New Again	6-8	In this environmental friendly class, we will turn a stack of newspaper into beautiful new paper and creative paper mache sculptures. An old gallon of milk will become a fun piggy bank and an old apple juice container will become our favorite pet. We will read about and discuss ways to help the environment. We will use our new paper to write an informational book about how to make new paper and help keep the world a little greener. Setting the Scene	7-8	Let your creativity and imagination soar! Come and emulate some of the best children writers. We will read and discuss wonderful books. We will create the setting and characters using various art and household materials. We can rewrite the story in a completely different setting; change the beginning or ending of the story, we can even write our own version of the story. Creativity is key.
Around the World	7-8	Let’s make our own unique passports and take a journey around the world. We will revive all five senses as we hear the music, taste the foods, smell the fragrances and touch the arts. We will recreate the Great Wall of China, the elephant procession in India, the exotic birds in the forest of Costa Rica, the hunter’smask in Africa and much more…We will have an amazing time.
